DAMPP-CHASER CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM Pianos are made primarily of wood, and all wood shrinks and swells with humidity changes.   Because of this, damage can be done inside the piano that will effect the tuning and its overall condition.  With a Dampp-Chaser Climate Control System installed in your piano, you will immediately notice greater tuning stability.  The piano will sound the way it was meant to, day after day.  It will prevent damage to the bridge, soundboard, pinblock, strings, and pins, by maintaining an average 42% relative humidity as recommended by major piano manufacturers, and will stay in tune longer and better.  When properly installed, the Dampp-Chaser system does not inhibit the elegant appearance of any piano because it is out-of-sight.  Taylor's is so pleased with the results of the system, we highly recommend it.  In fact, we will upgrade our used piano Warranty from 1 year to 3 years when you choose to have a climate control system installed.
