What does a digital piano offer?

1. GREAT SOUND: The latest digital sampling technology records the sound of a fine grand piano, note by note, saving the result in a computer chip's memory. The sound is often better than a traditional acoustic piano. dyna-acou.jpg (6433 bytes)

2. REAL TOUCH: The key action has weight and touch sensitivity that simulates the touch of a real piano quite effectively. The better digital pianos have a fully weighted keyboard. This is important for building finger strength and developing musical expression.
3. NO MAINTENANCE: Unlike regular acoustic pianos, digital pianos can be placed anywhere, and require no tuning, action regulation or voicing. Temperature and humidity change have no effect on a digital piano. You might go 10 years before you ever need to service a digital piano. T604.jpg (14785 bytes)

4. HEADPHONES: Headphones give you privacy of practice, with the player able to hear the piano, but no one else! This is ideal if the piano is in a busy area of the house, or if the pianist wishes to play late at night, or while the baby sleeps.
5. COST: With the cost of fine manufactured furniture continuing to rise, digital pianos represent a less expensive alternative. New pianos range from $2,500 to $5,000 for a new vertical , or $6,500 to $20,000 for a new grand piano. Taylor's has a wide variety of new digital pianos starting as low as $499! px338.jpg (3504 bytes)
