Susan received a BME from the University of Illinois in 1998 and an MME from the University of Colorado in 2004. She has five years experience in the Midwest and Rocky Mountain areas teaching public school band and seven year teaching private lessons.

Susan believes that the most important aspect of private lessons is to create a solid technical and musical foundation from which students can grow. She welcomes beginner flute, clarinet, violin and viola players and beginner through intermediate saxophonists.
