music education as well as graduate studies in music therapy. He also
teaches composition, jazz, and improvisation on the piano.

Margaret Rosenak Berend, a student of Geno Hubay at the Budapest Conservatory
(where Bartok and Kodaly taught). After attending Swarthmore College on
scholarship, he pursued classical violin studies with Davyd Booth, Geoffrey
Michaels, Paul Windt, and David Arben and studies in jazz, composition,
and improvisation with Vic Juris and Dennis Sandole. He has lived in Venezuela
and Israel and traveled extensively. He speaks some Spanish and Hebrew
and was once a decent tennis player.
